Governance

The organizational and management set-up of CSSC consists of three key organs, namely the Annual General Meeting, the Executive Council and the Secretariat. CSSC has a Board of Trustees, composed of 12 senior Church leaders from member Churches, who are mandated by the Constitution to hold in trust all funds, assets and property movable and immovable of the Commission.

The Annual General Meeting (AGM)

The AGM is the supreme organ of the Commission and is responsible for policy approval and the issuance of overall guidelines and directives.

CSSC Executive Council

The Executive Council is responsible for overseeing the management of affairs by the Commission, and its members are elected by the Annual General Meeting. The EC is responsible for formulating policies, approval and review of operational plans and budgets, and monitoring of progress. In discharging its functions, the Executive Council may establish committees, standing or otherwise, pursuit to the provisions of the constitution of the Commission

The Secretariat

The day-to-day management of the Commission is vested under the Secretariat, headed by the Executive Director who is the accounting officer of the Commission. The Executive Director is assisted by a senior management team, comprised of the Director of Health Services, Director of Education Services, the Chief Accountant and the Human Resource and Administrative Officer. The management team is supported by a team of over 86 professional and supportive staff.
